like a real grown up.

ryan and i are buying a house!

ok, we're actually just starting the process.

we made this decision about 4 days ago.

we won't actually get to live in said house until october, as our apartment lease doesn't end til october. we thought about breaking our lease--turns out the fine would pretty much put us in debt for months. grrr. this was not stated anywhere in the lease. time for voodoo.

we've figured out the type of house we want (turn of the century, lots of character and charm), but we're still working on the specific neighborhood we'd like to be in (hopefully at least a few houses down from the nearest crack house).

anyway, tomorrow is meeting #1 with the realtor.

and holy crap am i scared. i may just pee my pants.

i feel like i should bring mommy and daddy. this is just way too grown up for me.

must stay positive and look forward to the good things to come.

...like how great it will be to start our marriage in our own home.

...and how hilarious it will be to see the pup attempt to run on wood floors. :)

what can i say? it was quite unlikely that you and i would live together again...i just had to let go of the dream.

i figure the next best thing is get married and live with the husband. ;)

although i guess ryan and i did that sort of backwards.

living in sin. that's how i roll.

Just remember to look at "potential crack houses," because you may have to live in the chosen house for at least five years or so. I'd planned to be in this house five years, and now it's 12, and here we are.
