basically messed up on all levels.

so i had an "ergonomic evaluation" today. tis very uncomfortable for me to work at my desk. which totally sucks, considering i spend ALL day EVERY day at my desk. after months of complaining to my boss, they finally sent in a pro to evaluate my situation.

the guy took one look at me and said, "boy, you've got issues."

tell me about it, brother! but let's not go there.

i'm too short. apparently i'm like a wee little kid trying to play grown up in the working world. even set on the lowest and tiniest adjustments, i am too short for my chair. my feet still dangle. when i'm as low as the chair will go, i can barely reach my desk. the ergo pro recommends a new "petite" chair.

personally, i think i should be considered disabled and not allowed to work.

...

i leave work in one hour. for fun? alas, no. i am leaving to be poked and prodded by an allergist, since my immune system likes to attack itself. i had to complete this ridiculously long questionnaire about my allergies, and i'm preparing myself for a lecture.

i indicated i am very allergic to animal dander.

do you have pets? yes.

where does the pet sleep? in my bed.

do your allergies worsen in a specific room of your house? the bedroom.

i'm also horribly allergic to feathers, but i sleep with a down comforter. nothing is more glorious than surrounding oneself with a fluffy down duvet! plus, my fine taste will simply not allow a bedding alternative.

i think darwin is trying to tell me something from the grave. pretty sure i'm supposed to die out and let stronger people live.

hooray for science!
