irony is ironic.

ryan's apartment building lost power at about 5:00pm last night.

excel said it would be back on by 7:41pm. yes, 7:41.

ryan and i went out to dinner to kill time until 7:41.

at about 8:00pm, the power was still out. excel says they have no idea when it will be fixed.

it is now very dark outside, and ryan has no candles, flashlights...or anything that is potentially useful during a blackout. 

we go to target and proceed to buy $30 worth of candles, flashlights, etc.

we drive back to ryan's apartment at about 9:00 pm, all set for our night in the dark.

the power is back on.
